Hiiilfeee, wo genau kann ich denn jetzt meine Frage stellen? Hey Jennifer, my question is: Do you have any rituals when you write? Like a special cup of tea, an song you like, or something like that? Thanks for answering. Yours, Susan

How does it feel that "Obsidian" inspires its readers in Germany? Danke und liebe Grüße!

Well I have a few questions so I hope it is okay that I write them all in one comment. First of all one reade of my blog asked how did you come to writing? How do you get your ideas? I assume you have seen the german book cover. Do you like it? Do you think it fits your story? On your website you mention you like to read aswell. What is your favourite book or book series at the moment? Furthermore do you like to read in the genres you write your novels in or do you prefer others? So I think those were all I can think about now :) Just finished Obsidian 30minutes ago and I can't wait for the next book. Maybe I'm gonna read it even in english because I can't wait to know how the story continues.

Ich werde den Chat auch gebannt verfolgen. =) @sarah.petrovafire: Die Frage zu dem deutschen Cover finde ich sehr interessant, weil es ja schon sehr viel "anders" ist! Hoffe die Frage wird beantwortet.

Good Evening, Mrs Armentrout. I just finished 'Obsidian' yesterday and I loved it! But there's one question I couldn't find an answer to: Why does the Department of Defense finance the Luxen and not only tolerate them? It doesn't seem like they were getting anything, e.g. technology, in return and some of them already have a job to earn a living.

Hi! My friend told me so much about your books. She read them all in english. A few days ago, we had a discussion about the german cover and I would asked you, if you take part on the compossition of the german cover?

Hello & Welcome Jennifer :) I also have some questions. Do you listen to music while you writing? If so, which song would be perfect for Daemon? If "Obsidian" should be made into a film, who would be your dream cast? Kate

Hello Jennifer! This Live-Chat really is a great idea. Is any of your characters based on a person in real life? Maybe someone you know in person? Thank you for answering my question! (And sorry, if the grammar is wrong. ^^) Alissa

suetimeless - I don't really have any rituals when writing, but I can't write if someone is in the room with me. I have to be alone.

Heyhey! My name is Bianca and I didn’t read your book(s) yet, but I really love to do this as soon as possible. I also have some more (“general”) questions, but I am sure, that other interviewer will ask you them also. Thank you very much for the opportunity to ask you anything we want to! =) Sooo, here comes my first question: Did you know right from the start that the Lux-Series won’t be one book only, but five?

Hello Jennifer, first I have to say I am huge fan of your writing. Obsidian got me hooked pretty quick. And I love the Covevant Series. I can't wait for the Titan novel to be released! :) And I wanted to ask how you got the idea to write Obsidian? What inspired you? Thank you, Dominique

When and where do you write your books? What inspires you? Are your protagonists a bit like persons you already know or completely out of your mind?

Hi Jennifer, thanks for doing this! I would like to know if you have a certain writing routine and/or rituals. You wrote so many books in what seems to be such a short time - you must be writing all day every day! What's your secret? Coffee? Setting yourself a certain goal for each writing session? (Word count etc.) Thanks in advance for your answer! :)

Hallo Jennifer, nice to meet you her. I hope we all have a great time here. Would you like to visit germany and would you like to see the book one day as a movie in the cinema? I hope you understand my questions! With kind regards, Helen

sarahsuperwoman - You asked what location got me inspired? I think you're talking about the location in the story? Petersburg is a very real place in West Virginia, as in Seneca Rocks and the legend of Snowbird. The place is beautiful and seemed like a good place aliens would live. HA!

Hey Jennifer, I love all your books, and just wanted to tell you how much I admire your work. Everytime I open one of your books, it needs only a few sentences and I'm completely fallen for the story. :-) And I have one question: How much of yourself and your own personality do you put in your characters? Cause I recognized that quite many of them have a fondness for Fries, Hamburgers, OJ, Cookies and Milk and just wondered if there is more. Hoping to meet you one day in person, greetings and lots of love. Lisa

sarah.petrovafirezu 1. asked how did you come to writing? I've always wanted to be a writer, but I started writing seriously to avoid boredom. So I write so I don't get bored. I bore easily. How do you get your ideas? This just pop in my head when I'm doing random, mundane things like showering or grocery shopping. I assume you have seen the german book cover. Yes. I love it. I think it's beautiful and fits the story. What is your favourite book or book series at the moment? I've been a huge fan of Soul Screamers since the beginning. Furthermore do you like to read in the genres you write your novels in or do you prefer others? I don't read in the genre I'm currently writing in

Hello all! First of all - great idea to have a live vhat like this. Thank you for this opportunity :) I thought all day about what I might ask tonight and at least I would be curious to know, at what day- (or night-)time you prefer to write, Jennifer. Do you have set hours to work or do you listen to your "creative feeling" what time is best to write? Thanks, Jill
JLArmentrout

lizzy.curse - Authors rarely take part in cover design, even in their country's publication, and most definitely not in foreign covers, but the German cover of Obsidian is actually my favorite of them all

Thank you so much, Jennifer, for creating such great characters. After reading the first chapter i liked Kat so much, i had to go on. Daemon would drive me crazy with his behaviour. :D Why did you named him Daemon? Did you thought about Ian Somerhalder? ;) :D
